Troy Dunn is exceptional. He finds birth parents, organ donors, long lost siblings, even friends. It's not just his skill, but it's his heart that he puts into his job. Each month, for one week, Troy takes on an "Angel Case" which is an important case that he devotes all of his time, and staff on. The show follows Troy as he attempts to bring families together, and help people find that hole that they've had since someone's departure.
In the second-season premiere, siblings look for their mom, who left them with relatives when they were just toddlers. Later, five sisters who were adopted by separate families reunite and visit their ailing mother, whom one of them has never met.
