The Cougar (premiering Wednesday, 10 pm/ET) brings together 20 attractive men — all in their 20s — who compete for the heart of a beautiful, 40-year-old woman, Stacey Anderson (the cougar). In the eight-part series, which comes from the executive producers behind The Bachelor, the potential lovers go through a series of challenges to capture the heart of Anderson, a successful realtor and mother of four from Scottsdale, Ariz.
It's time to meet the families, but are the families ready to accept the love of a Cougar? Difficult family dates complicate Stacey's gut-wrenching elimination, especially since she can see a future with all of them. Next stop, Vegas
A blindfolded Stacey kisses the remaining six guys, and the winner gets a one-on-one date. Later, she spends time with two of the men she knows the least.
The guys must reveal their deepest secrets anonymously, and Stacey goes skydiving with the two whose secrets touch her most deeply. But only one of them returns to the mansion, where he and the other remaining contestants must each write a song describing his feelings for her. It's dinner and a show for the winner. Back at the mansion, another guy is in tears.
The guys vie in a talent contest, with the winners going on a group date with Stacey. Then they must each buy her an evening gown, and the guy who buys the one she likes best scores a one-on-one date with her.
Stacey moves into the mansion with the remaining contestants, who are tasked with designing an exercise routine for her. Later, the guys try to come up with an ideal birthday gift, which grants the winner a one-on-one chance to help her celebrate.
In the premiere of this reality series from executive producer Mike Fleiss ("The Bachelor"), a 40-year-old mother of four from Arizona meets the pool of 20 men under the age of 30 who are vying for her affection. Vivica A. Fox hosts.
