Based on the hit modelling reality show 'America's Next Top Model', this version follows a group of young Australian girls all competing for the title of 'Australia's Next Top Model'. But they must undergo a series of challenges and photoshoot in order for the judges to determine who will win. The winner receives 12 months representation with Priscilla's Model Management, a cover and spread in Vogue magazine and an all expensed paid trip to New York to meet with to agencies.
Live from Luna Park, Sarah Murdoch hosted the finale of Australia's Next Top Model Cycle 5. The finale began with an introduction of the judging panel that consisted of Charlotte Dawson, Alex Perry, Jonathan Pease, Prisilla Leighton-Clare, Claudia Navone, Russell James and of course, Sarah Murdoch. Soon after, the 11 eliminated contestants were re-introduced and modelled on the catwalk while Jessica Mauboy performed her hit, Burn.
The girls meet at Pricillas Modelling agency and are met with Prisilla Leighton-Clarke and Sarah who tells the girls that they are going on castings for Rosemounts Australian Fashion Week. Sarah states that this is the biggest challenge the girls will face and the girls are given their portfolios and head off to their 5 castings.

This week the girls are put to the test on a farm shoot with a nasty stylist and some squealing pigs. The models then take part in an icy challenge, before a stunning desert shoot.
