Kathy gets a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame!
Kathy receives news that the renowned Madame Tussauds museum plans to create her wax likeness, causing Kathy to wax poetically that her star is rising. She then begins molding her memoir, consulting author Jackie Collins on how to make it steamy. She also journeys to New York for a book-cover shoot and seeks publishing help from author Salman Rushdie and Oprah Winfrey's pal Gayle King.
Kathy joins in the protest for gay rights as she travels to Sacramento. She meets up with Melissa Etheridge who has a new nickname for her.
Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List is an unscripted series that takes a hilariously unabashed look at the talented comic's life and surreal celebrity encounters that serve as fodder for her successful stand-up comedy specials and sell-out live performances.
At least the D-List queen exhibits A-list behavior: Kathy heads to Miami's luxury Star Island to buy a second home. In Miami, Kathy hangs out with Rosie O'Donnell and Gloria Estefan, and Kathy delights in the swarming fans and paparazzi. Estefan later allows Kathy to manage one of her hotels for a day.
Kathy realises that to appeal to the younger generation, she needs to brush shoulders with young Hollywood stars. She lands a spot on a teen drama and spends the day with Paris Hilton, whilst she allows her mum to set up her Facebook page for her.
The Grammy's are finally here and it's time to see if all Kathy's hard work has paid off. When things don't go as planned, Kathy heads to Georgia in order to put her disappointment behind her.
Kathy obsession with the Grammy's sends her all the way to Canada to meet a comedy legend!
